Short Fiction's 7th Annual Short Story Competition

I just entered yet another short story competition: Short Fiction's 7th Annual Short Story Competition. It was a bargain as it was only a tenner for both stories and I get a free magazine.

This time I submitted two stories, both from second year. They did require a bit of editing; this is why it's handy submitting stories that have already been marked by lecturers, because you have an idea of how good they are already, and they point out what didn't work for them. The two stories were Surrealhabilitation and Mark Desade's Misfortune of Curiosity.

The first prize is £500 and publication, and second is £100. The shortlist will be announced in July, so it is a bit of a wait. The winner and runner-up are announced in August.

Sadly, the competition closes at midnight tonight, so you better get on it if you want to enter too!
